Forged Ammonite
This was created as a present for my father whilst travelling as a journeyman learning my Craft. It is created using a twisted taper rolled into shaped which is then sandwiched between two white hot pieces of steel and put under the power hammer and hammered into itself leaving an imprint as you would see in real ammonite fossils.
